In Singapore, we experience one of the highest lightning strikes in the world. Lightning strikes can result in damages to buildings and in some unfortunate events, injury to persons may occur.

BCA (Building and Construction Authority) requires the lightning protection system to be design and supervised by an Electrical PE in accordance with Singapore Standard SS555 Code of practice for protection against lightning.

As part of the application for BCA temporary occupation permit and BCA certificate of statutory completion, Form BPD CSC03 Certificate of Design and Supervision of Lightning Protection System, as built drawings and test reports shall be submitted to BCA.
